2011 Pre Event Evening with Philip Deignan

Introduction

On Friday 16th September at 7.30pm enjoy an evening meal and come see our guest speaker Irish Pro Cyclist Philip Deignan (Team RadioShack) give a talk and present a slide show at a pre-event evening at Ballycastle Golf Club, County Antrim for £15.

Phillip, who was the first Irishman to win a stage in a Grand Tour since Stephen Roche’s last-stage success at the Tour de France in 1992 will be talking about his experiences of becoming a professional cyclist and being signed up for Team RadioShack. Now managed by Johan Bruyneel, who directed Lance Armstrong to his record seven Tour de France victories, Phillip will be giving riders a unique insight into his training regimes as well as chatting about winning Stage 18 of the Vuelta a Espana in 2009. He will also be cutting the ribbon at the start of the sportive and hopefully taking part in the event itself!
